At the tender age of 9, Audriana faced a critical moment when a cavernous hemangioma caused a brain bleed near her brain stem on February 26, 2021. Placed in a medically induced coma until March 2, 2021, Dr. Haridas from St. Joseph Children’s Hospital performed a life-saving surgery.
Uncertain about how Audriana would awaken, she courageously relearned basic functions like holding her head up, swallowing, eating, talking, and walking. As her strength grew, Audriana transitioned to Tampa General Hospital's pediatric in-patient rehab facility under the care of Dr. Kornberg and his remarkable team. The compassionate support from nurses, doctors, hospital home-bound education teachers, and other staff eased her month-long stay.
Today, Audriana celebrates her third-year anniversary post-brain surgery, embracing her second chance at life! Audriana aims to mark her third-year anniversary by raising $5,000 to bolster the pediatric inpatient rehab facility at TGH. Join hands in supporting Audriana and other children navigating the challenges of intensive rehabilitation care. Your contribution can make a meaningful impact – help us reach this $5,000 goal and be part of this compassionate cause.
