Support Camp Hopetáke at TGH!

Camp Hopetáke is a week-long, sleep-away summer camp for children ages 8-17 that have survived a burn injury. Hopetáke is the Seminole Indian word for “children."  This year, Camp Hopetáke will take place from June 8-14 at the Bethany Center in Lutz, FL.

Camp Hopetáke is free of charge to the campers and is financially supported by the fundraising efforts of the Tampa General Hospital Foundation and the Tampa Firefighters Charity Fund.

All counselors at Camp Hopetáke are either TGH team members (primarily registered nurses), and Tampa Firefighters.

This year, we have a goal to raise $30,000 from our TGH community to support our pediatric burn campers. All gifts of any size will truly make a difference in the lives of pediatric burn survivors, as this camp provides a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for kids to share their feelings and experiences with others that truly understand what they have been through. Camp Hopetáke also provides a support system for these kids for the rest of their lives.
