Support Frank Fritz' TGH Legacy

The Frank Fritz Legacy Trauma/ED Team Member Endowed Scholarship will support deserving TGH trauma or emergency department team members looking to advance their careers. Your generosity will provide vital financial support to aspiring trauma and ED team members, who are committed to carrying forward compassionate and world-class care at Tampa General Hospital. Supporting this scholarship will honor Frank's incredible legacy and tenure, and is a powerful way to invest in next generation of healthcare leaders in Tampa Bay.

Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Wein, Dr. Herron and Michele Moran, all gifts will be MATCHED dollar for dollar up to $35,000! Together, we have a goal to raise an additional $35,000 from our TGH community. Thank you for your consideration and support, and for honoring Frank in this special way.

If you are a TGH Team Member interested in supporting Frank's legacy by a payroll deduction or ATO gift, please visit: https://www.tgh.org/foundation/giving/team-member-giving or contact Christina Stevens, Foundation Director of Annual Giving at christinastevens@tgh.org.

Here is what one of Frank's colleagues had to say about him and the impact he made at TGH:

Being a nurse at Tampa General Hospital is a privilege, and Frank Fritz exemplifies the Professional Practice Model in both his personal and professional conduct. He embodies TGH’s core values—integrity, compassion, accountability, and excellence with ease.

Over his 26-year tenure, more than half of which has been in the Emergency Department, Frank has advanced from Patient Care Technician and Paramedic to Registered Nurse, leaving a lasting impact at every stage.

Frank’s passion for education is unmatched. He goes above and beyond to equip students, residents, and new TGH team members with the skills they need to provide exceptional world- class care. Whether treating a minor injury or a critical trauma, his compassion remains constant. He sees the person beyond the illness and includes families in the healing process, recognizing their role in patient-centered care.

Frank is approachable, kind, humorous, and unfailingly positive. His presence fosters an inclusive, supportive environment for patients and team members alike. He is a cornerstone of our emergency department and truly part of our TGH family. Frank doesn’t just wear the scrubs—he lives the values of a TGH nurse.
